Parsons has over 30 years experience in vessel engineering and manufacturing. We offer a complete installation and commissioning service and specialise in the design and configuration of vessels for specific industry requirements:
Small rectangular process vats used in the jewellery industry
Large rectangular sectional salt saturators, up to 4000mm square.
Customised process vessels.
Jacketed process vessels.
Our Storage Vessels are constructed from a range of materials:
Polypropylene
PVC
PVDF
Glass reinforced plastic
PTFE coated Mild Steel and Stainless Steel
Where additional mechanical strength is required GRP reinforcement in accordance with BS 4994-1987 is used and in such cases the composite construction uses a minimum of 6 mm thermoplastic to ensure that the absorption of chemical material is fully contained
All Parsons vessels are designed for maximum efficiency and economy and therefore the majority are circular, fabricated in diameters up to 4500 mm diameter and 12 metres high.
Standard vessels are flat based vertical styles but can be manufactured to any design, according to requirements:
Horizontal vessels, aligned on mild steel cradles.
Vessels with cone or torisperical ends; often used for Process applications.
The vessel contents can vary from highly corrosive chemical storage such as bulk Hydrochloric Acid or Ultra Pure Water Storage; in all cases these are checked by Parsons Chemical Engineers to ensure the most appropriate construction material of is selected.
Content Storage
The contents of Storage Vessels can vary from highly corrosive chemical storage such as bulk Hydrochloric Acid to Ultra Pure Water Storage. In all cases our chemical engineers give consideration to the contents to ensure the vessel is constructed by the optimal material.
Vessels can be supplied with integral bunds, tanker filling/off loading facilities, contents gauges and a wide variety of ancillary equipment, and naturally Parsons offer a complete installation and commissioning service.
