	Parsons have vast experience in the design, manufacture and supply of Plastic Noise Attenuators or silencers.
	Common situations where this solution is needed include:
		Hospitals and universities; where ductwork systems are installed and there is a necessity to reduce job side noise to an absolute minimum.
		Where there is a sight boundary limitation on noise enforced by Local Authority Planning consent. In these cases it is necessary to incorporate a silencer into the duct work which will not only operate within the requirements of the corrosive environment but also ensure the required amount of noise reduction is achieved.
Parsons also design and build a full range of Stack-mounted attenuators that reduce special requirements and offer a very neat and innovative solution to this increasingly demanding environmental issue.

Parsons Site Surveys

Parsons can also undertake site wide noise surveys to determine the compound requirement. Using the latest Noise Mapping procedures and software, we can provide a detailed and highly visible representation of the prevailing environmental noise climate.

Parsons have an extensive range of modern noise and vibration instrumentation with which comprehensive surveys can be undertaken. Commonly short term surveys are required, typically ranging from 24 hours to a week, for various purposes including supporting planning applications. Longer term noise and/or vibration monitoring is also available for any time variable - weeks, months or years – according to client requirement.
